26 Mar Children’s learning week ending Friday 26th March

The children have been in an extensive range of learning experiences from learning to make secondary and tertiary colours to designing and building a habitat for our pet tortoise Fred. Additionally, some children have been developing their knowledge and understanding about how doctor surgeries work and others have been developing their pedaling and balancing skills. Our thanks for all the parents who supported our race and identity workshop on Wednesday. Please remember clocks go forward on Saturday night! Last day of term is Thursday 1st April. We wish you all a very happy and safe weekend.

12 Mar Learning Week Ending Friday 12th March 2021

It has been absolutely wonderful seeing all the children return to school this week. Our focus has been on supporting the children in playing with their friends, making choices, following their interests and expressing their feelings. Through this focus a number of children have been interested in exploring the concepts of light and dark in our two year old provision. In the nursery there has been interest in our pond and finding out about newts and other fauna. Additionally other children have been involved in making Mothering Sunday cards. We of course wish all our families a very happy Mother’s day this coming weekend.

Our children have been involved in variety of learning including exploring making marks with our feet, to acting out familiar stories and creating our own stories. Through these experiences our children are developing their spoken language, confidence, collaborative skills and of course their literacy skills. We wish you all a very happy and safe weekend.
