Go to Children’s Centre
It has been wonderful having many of our children back after the half term break. The children have been developing their collaborative skills, ability to jump and climb as well as understanding about healthy foods (those we can eat lots of and those we should seldom eat).
Our children have been focusing on celebrating the Lunar new year, the year of the Ox. As part of this learning the children have been involved in cooking, designing and making their own dragon as part of the celebrations of the lunar new year. We wish all our families who are celebrating the lunar new year, a very happy new year! We equally wish everyone a happy valentine’s day on this coming Sunday.

Governor’s noted their thanks to Hannah Gregory one of our parent governors who has provided an excellent rigorous and supportive approach to the school and children centre in its development; who will be resigning from her post at the end of the Spring term. On behalf of all the Governors our thanks to Hannah and wish her and her family all the very best for the future.

Our children have been involved in an extensive range of learning experiences at the nursery. Some of our children have been learning to follow a simple recipe and observe changes to foods, such as when making scrabbled eggs. We have also had children developing their understanding of measurement, through exploring jumping from a height. Some other children have been learning about what a theatre is and through this creating their own plays. Lastly; a group of children, continue to develop their learning about dinosaurs and how to work together by designing and creating a large-scale model of a dinosaur.
